At COoL lab, I am researching how the homochirality of biomolecules was selected during the origin of life. My plan is to investigate the oligomerization of amino acids in the presence of ribonucleotides under dehydration-rehydration cycles that simulate early Earth conditions. This study aims to determine if enantiopure ribonucleotides can enantioselectively catalyze the oligomerization of only one enantiomer of amino acids from a racemic mixture.
